New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD) is a private dental school located in New York City. It was established in 1865, making it the third oldest dental program in the nation. NYUCD currently enrolls 375 freshmen dental students every year.

In 2015, a new 170,000 square foot 27-floor building was constructed for NYU’s Nursing, Bioengineering Institute, and Dental programs. The college currently treats over 300,000 patients annually from the most cultural and ethnically diverse population in the United States. The Smiling Faces, Going Places mobile clinic at NYUCD allows students to treat patients in underserved areas of the city.

Students at NYUCD have access to a large library of digitized textbooks. Starting in 2001, the school formed an initiative to replace traditional textbooks with a computer-enhanced curriculum.

NYUCD currently offers advanced specialty training in endodontics, oral maxillofacial surgery (both four and six year options), orthodontics, periodontics, pediatrics, and prosthodontics.

Long known for its research contributions, NYUCD has 735 full-time and part-time research faculty in addition to a global network of dental colleges collaborating on research and program initiatives.
